My wife and I have a tradition of going to the Orange County Fair every year. If the deep fried (insert food item of choice) wasn’t reason enough to go, the photography exhibit is absolutely worth the price of admission. It is such a wonderfully curated gallery of fine art photographs.
The main attraction that seems to capture my attention the most however, is always the big ferris wheel. Every year, I try to shoot it from a different perspective. I usually try to capture movement in what I photograph, but this time I tried something different that I don’t usually do. I stopped all motion in the ferris wheel, and as it turns out, it’s the lack of movement that makes this shot so intriguing to me. This may be the start of something new. Lesson learned, sometimes it’s best not to over think things.
