I have to start by saying, Thank You, to my amazing wife. She just surprised me with a plane ticket to San Francisco as an early birthday present. I’ll be leaving the morning of May 4th and will be coming home the evening of the 6th. That’ll give me two sun rises and two sunsets up there. I couldn’t be more stoked about this. Ever since I bought my 5D Mark III, I’ve been itching to go back up there.
I have a lot of planning to do and a pretty big shot list. I can’t even begin to list all the photographs I want to capture but at the top of my list is to return to Pier 7, shoot a panorama of the city from Yerba Buena island, capture at least several shots of the Golden Gate Bridge, enjoy sourdough bread at Boudin by Fisherman’s Warf, grab a hot fudge sundae at Ghirardelli Square, ride the cable cars, do some slow shutter speed photography at the Palace of Fine Arts, and photograph the Painted Ladies at Alamo Square. I don’t imagine I’ll be sleeping too much, but that’s alright by me.
