Having always been intrigued by large cities and skyscrapers, I decided to drive into Downtown Los Angeles one evening and look for a good vantage point to capture the L.A. skyline from. Without really knowing where to go, I parked my car at the convention center and started walking up Figueroa street. The particular location I ended up at was the 4th street overpass. I had done some research before hand and knew by looking at maps that 4th street was likely a good place to shoot from, but I had no idea where to park, or if there was even pedestrian access to the overpass. As it turns out, the 4th street overpass is a very popular spot to shoot photos from. Two other photographers showed up that night, but I had gotten there early and was already occupying a very ideal spot on the sidewalk.
